Standard sign up bonus is 20,000, though recently went down as far as 10,000 so historically this is a great sign bonus for a UK American Express card.

I value 30,000 membership rewards points between £225 – £350. They can be converted into various different hotel and airline loyalty programmes so are a very attractive currency to hold.

There is a minimum spend requirement of £2,000 within first 90 days. If you are worried about this then read more about the Amex Shop Small campaign. You can always buy a refundable airline ticket for any shortfall in your spending, cash out the membership reward bonus, then cancel the ticket.

If you haven’t got an existing Amex platinium, gold or green card then look very seriously at this option. This is about as good as UK travel reward credit card sign up bonuses get.
