You can earn an extra 750 Tesco Clubcard points when you purchase 2 or more cases of wine worth over £50 at Tesco Wine. Tesco Clubcard points can be converted into Avios. I will go through the exact details of this deal a little bit later. First, let me go through what is being offered.

When you spend over £50 on 2 or more cases of wine from Tesco Wine you will earn an extra 750 Tesco Clubcard points if you enter a special code (code found below). Tesco Wine is a discount wine retailer. You buy wine in bulk and enjoy lower prices per bottle than at the supermarket because of the economics of scale of bulk buying.

Delivery is free for orders over £50.

Tesco Wine has special offers. According to MoneySavingExpert you can get 25% off French wines when you buy two cases before Thursday 18 April. You should be able to get around £50 worth of wine for around £3-4 per bottle.

£50 Tesco Wine = 50 Clubcard points + 750 bonus Clubcard points = 800 Clubcard points

800 Tesco Clubcard points = 1,920 Avios (1 Avios = 2.6 pence)

This is above my personal valuation of Avios, which is 1 Avios = 1 pence. You may have a different valuation or you may wish to take advantage of this opportunity to buy yourself some relatively cheap wine.

However, it is worth saying that these discount wine operations make a profit by taking bog-standard wine, slapping an expensive looking label, claiming exclusivity and then charging a higher price than its actual worth. You should go into these deals thinking that you’re getting some very ordinary wine for below average prices and nothing more.
