Tesco Clubcard points can be converted into Avios at a ratio of 1 Clubcard point to 2.4 Avios. Tesco also runs occassional transfer bonuses that increase the number of Avios per Clubcard point. The last bonus was in August and increased the number by 50%. It is impossible to predict when a bonus conversion offer will appear but if you do not have a specific Avios redemption that require the conversion of your Clubcard vouchers then it is best to keep them hidden away and wait for a bonus to appear.

Tesco is offering bonus Clubcard points on several products, which means bonus Avios.

100 Tesco Clubcard points on DVD pre-orders

The cheapest is Ben and Holly’s Little K. Vol. 6 – Magic Test at £7.00.

£7.00 = 100 Clubcard points = 240 Avios (1 Avios = 2.9p)

This is above my valuation of 1 Avios = 1 pence. However, worth considering if you are looking to buy any of the DVDs anyway.

200 Tesco Clubcard points on Blu-Ray pre-orders

The cheapest is Sense and Sensibility at £10.00.

£10.00 = 200 Clubcard points = 480 Avios (1 Avios = 2.1p)

This is a better deal from an Avios perspective but still above my valuation. Again, only worth it if you want to buy the Blu-Rays anyway.

If you are planning on buying a new DVD or Blu-Ray then definitely check the Tesco list. You can view the extra Avios collected as a form of cashback on the deal.  Most of the recent Oscar films are included as well as The Hobbit.

£1,249.00 = 3,747 Clubcard points = 8992 Avios (1 Avios = 13.9p)

This deal is not worth it are collecting Avios. However, if you are in the market for this particular Apple MacBook then you can view the extra Avios as a £89. There is also code TDX-PTWP for £30 off any laptop over £400.

£79.99 = 1,000 Clubcard points = 2,400 Avios (1 Avios = 3.3p)
